To The Artists,
I, like you, seek to explore the world and understand it better with each new moment. This can be a difficult endeavor for a person, as it requires the ability to step outside the predictable into the unknown. Perhaps you find this as exciting as I do, and that may be the reason we continue such behavior. You have probably found yourself alone at points in your explorations as this is a common occurrence when stepping outside the realm of "normal" behavior. These moments of lone solitude though are incredible for the process of introspective thought and the incubation of new ideas, and should not be considered a waste.
I hope you too have discovered the value of interaction with community and familiar environments. This could be a deep stimulating conversation, or simply the comfort of a predictable space where you can enjoy coffee and a cigarette in good company. You have probably also discovered the value of personal space. A comfortable place where you are able to do your work completely focused, or to relax in private. These are all very important parts of the creative process.
So, I encourage you to explore the unfamiliar world out there, but know that when you need to regroup with like minded individuals or be alone in a predictable space, you now have that available to you here at Milton Facility. Certain rules will be put in place to build such an environment, each person within the community will be expected to know and observe these rules. Consider this carefully before you decide to join the community because we only want you here if you want to be here.
I am excited to bring everyone together with a clear vision for this place, but know that this will always be your community as long as you are here, know that your perspective and opinions are highly valued. At certain critical crossroads I will not hesitate to ask for your ideas and your help. So, if this sounds like something that you want to be apart of, I am happy to have you here, and I look forward to the exciting possibilities ahead.
